The Kawartha Lakes CFDC is proud to provide financial support towards the growth of home child care in our communities through Compass Early Learning and Care (CELC).
The funding supported the development of a three-part web series, providing information for prospective home child care providers interested in starting their own business. The sessions incorporated videos of lived experiences from existing providers and written personal accounts of being a provider with CELC. These recruitment videos generated evergreen content for the CELC to use in future recruitment sessions, on the website, and towards efforts to expand services within our communities.
The grant also supported an interactive tool embedded on the CELC website. This quiz assists those considering a career in home child care to evaluate the career choice. The traffic generated from the quiz provides the organization with leads for sending additional information and applications. This quiz is an essential tool for the recruitment program, providing useful information to both website visitors and CELC.
Further funds were dedicated to marketing efforts to improve and streamline recruitment efforts, including a revamp of the information on the website. These changes will support the promotion of home child care and the Compass Early Learning and Care programs and offerings.
