The Kawartha Lakes CFDC or the KLCFDC, is a not-for-profit corporation that works to achieve its goal to "To promote business and community economic development in the City of Kawartha Lakes."	The KLCFDC currently has a lending capacity of up to $250,000 for local businesses that cannot secure financing through the more traditional channels. Our key loan information and application form are available on line.	The KLCFDC is able to offer businesses many great resources to help you start, grow and succeed. You can find a listing that includes a number of the available government business and support programs; large amounts of printed reference materials and information from our library; and access to the Internet and information on Federal, Provincial and Municipal government programs and services.	As an organization, the KLCFDC is always working in our community. All of our Directors are engaged in other activities...volunteering at events, raising funds, mentoring, whatever may be needed-including sitting on other Boards of Directors. We may also be involved as a funding source, through in-kind work or as a facilities provider, or even in becoming a public animator in community economic development activities. We realize it's not always about the money so we look to provide support in whatever ways we can.
