RATIONALE FOR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
In determining the direction for the Kawartha Lakes CFDC, key aspects of our business quickly rose to the forefront-specific to our current activities and areas of potential growth. Each of these aspects has been incorporated into five core strategic components, which have been identified as vital to the employment and economic development of our community. Through our focus on these core strategic directions we will strengthen our role as an integral contributor to the future prosperity of the City of Kawartha Lakes. They also integrate and fully compliment the objectives of the Government of Canada's Community Futures Program.
The Directors and Senior Staff of the KLCFDC have determined other factors necessary to support our main objective and which will shape our strategic plan. They are:
Strong, consistent marketing and communications,
Sound financial management,
Increased accessibility to the public, and
Effective deployment and management of our human resources.
