At the Kawartha Lakes Community Futures Development Corporation (KLCFDC), we are ready to listen-and to help. We have been providing support to our community for over 20 years. Over those years, we have made available in excess of $30,000,000 in financial assistance to businesses dedicated to the expansion of opportunities and increased employment in the City of Kawartha Lakes and surrounding area.

We have also aided in the development of business plans and often facilitated opportunities for the partnerships and associations necessary to succeed. We work closely and collaboratively with all levels of government to help in meeting the needs of the City of Kawartha Lakes; and we look to work with you, your business and other interested groups in the community for the continuing economic development and prosperity of our area.

Through our relationship with FedDev Ontario, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario and the Eastern Ontario Development Program, we have also provided over $3,000,000 in localized funding that has supported business and strategic planning, skills development, access to capital, support of the expansion of Broadband/ high-speed Internet in Eastern Ontario, community capacity-building programs, youth internship opportunities and many more local and regional community-based initiatives. Our role as co-coordinators of the Self-Employment Benefits Program means we can help get ideas off the ground; and in our entrepreneurial workshops, work with you every step of the way. And with the information accessible at our business centre office in Kent Place Mall in Lindsay, the answers you need and the process you may require are available to you on a walk-in or by appointment basis.
